Not really sure of how this website works but if you want a really good down to earth flea market to go to, then try Bessemer, Alabama.

Yeah the out side is not that appealling but, I made alot of money there the weekend I set up.

Most deffinately will go back.

Oh, man! Please ignore the above advice! I have also sold at Bessemer and I can tell you for a fact that it is in a high crime area. You can hear guns shooting all night long, as close as right across the street from the market (and you'll never hear or see police), vendor's vehicles have been broken into at night and women shoppers have been robbed at gunpoint in the middle of the daytime as they walk through the parking lot on their way back to the car!

I know this because it actually happened the weekend I was there.

Another thing that isn't right: the freebie flea market papers that any pro vendor knows about are being kept behind the front counter in the office and they are being given only to vendors who rent by the month, a complete violation of use of these papers. I know this because I asked for one of them and they wouldn't let me have one just because I was renting by the weekend (which became only one weekend because of the crime and poor attitude of the office staff.)

I am a pro vendor who travels the entire United States full-time 24/7 365 (since 1996) and can easily pull in $500 to $1, 000 a day at almost any market, but Bessemer is in a low-income area and the shoppers don't have any money to spend. You'll only waste your time setting up there, not to mention taking your life into your hands.

Do yourself a favor and pass it up!
