I've been to flea markets in the midwest and have found that the flea markets here in Arizona just don't compare!! I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the fact that in the summer it is just too dang hot for fruits and veggies to grow. :(

That does make sense. Arizonia is a fairly dry place and there would not be too much local fresh veggies and fruits. So they probably have to go out of their place to get the fruits/veggies in the first place and then sell it to the locals?
