Painting I found at flea market?This forum post has messages dated from 03/16/10 through 06/20/11, please be sure to read all the messages. | Painting I found at flea market? I live in Lake Wales, Florida, and I found a beautiful painting of a young Spanish (Mexican, I believe) lady. She looks very old fashioned. I bought it at the fleamarket. It is on a large wooden canvas with a large chain for a hanger. At the bottom, in Gold, it says Roiz. (not Ruiz) I Really NEED to find out where it came from. The people I got it from said they didnt know where it came from. She looks like she has a very old fashioned hairstyle also, and it is a profile portrait. If ANYone can help me find out where she came from, and her history, the artist, I'd REALLY love to find out who she is. Reason being, she looks ALOT like my family!!!! Weird, lol. Thank you so much. :) As I look closer, it appears to be a portrait by Roiz, but I am having trouble finding out who SHE is!!! AUGH! (the girl in the photo) It looks like someone put a photo on a thick old wooden canvas, and made it decorative. and either painted it or stained it. IT looks like it had glass or something on the front of the portrait. The letters spelling Roiz are gold. IT is a very nice old portrait, profile style, and the girl is young, like a teenager or young lady. Any other suggestions??? I found a photography studio in Orlando that used to be Roiz, opened in Miami in 1971, and is now Master Touch, I think. So, on the hunt goes, lol. Thank you so far. :) |
| Have a look at this link. It may be Rococo Art by the artist ROIZ. Good luck, and maybe you have quite a find there. I would love to pick up an original painting at flea market prices. You must be so excited to find out what exactly you have there. |

| Hi there, It id nice to hear that beside from he great historical landmarks of the said state, flea market and other social areas are popular in that place. I really love that area, I wish I could go there soon. Many of the people that had been there really love the place. I hope it would be soon. | I really love to be in the flea market of Florida. I have been in that place before and some of the friends I know really admires the history that place offers and shares to the people that are interested to knowing the things they could actually know in that area. I hope many people would really have a great drive in knowing some basic info about this place . |
