And want to know what permits and regulations are needed to be able to sell BBQ food in front of my house. Kind of like a vendor, This will take place during a festival/flea market. So I will not be the only mobile stand there selling food. |
| Loreen, you will have to get permission to do this, I would think from your local authority. Food vending is strictly controlled, obviously, to protect consumers from food poisoning etc. Why just for four days though ? Is there a street festival or market event that you want to cater to ? |

You should understand that they are a bit strict when it comes to this concern. Don't worry, the moment you obtain your permit, you can now sell these street foods in front of your house. | You got a good idea for earning something by selling food. However it is really important to get a permit that you legally. The department will also check whether you are selling safe food. In some countries they call this department as Bureau of Food and industry. So I think you better consult the department responsible for giving you a permit to sell there. I hope your business will thrive. |
| It is much better if you will provide a permit for your food business. Some customers would prefer buying goods on legitimate business with permits. And permits also comes in handy if ever local officials would inspect on your business. We'll never know what will happen and so running a small but legal business is much better. | Would it really be necessary to get a permit even if she's just selling food for 4 days in a year? That's really strict. Anyway, that is for the best interest of the people who would be buying from her. And to maximize the permit, maybe she could consider making this BBQ selling a more regular business. Great source of extra earnings if it will be a hot seller. |
