Thinking about it...
Mandy from Shopaholics Galore -
Every year I sell some craft items at a local church when they have their craft bazaar. I have been thinking of setting up a booth at our local flea market. Wish me luck...I hope I'm as successful as I am at the church!! Trackbacks

You should try it!! My sister started out like that - selling things at craft fairs and places like that and now she has her own little boutique and is quite successful.

I think you will do well. If they are selling well at your church there should be a market for you at a Flea Market as well. I know a lot of people who started out that way and it has become a success.

I started out like that. I did my first Flea Market this past weekend and did really well. I surprised that I managed to sell almost all of my items. I would definitely give it a try.

What craft items do you make, Mandy? I wish you lots and lots of luck! I love buying crafty things. Where will this local flea market be?

Yes, i'm also curious where you may be selling your items at?Good luck. It can be an excellent way to build up local customers and soemtimes you may even have loyal customers who will come to you only for your items if they are unique enough! Also remember, there's Ebay if you don't mind the shipping aspect of it.

Making money at flea markets depends on what you sell and what market you set up at.The more shoppers the better, so don't be afraid to set up in the largest markets you can find. Large markets in Texas would include Trader's Village in Grand Prairie and its little-bit smaller sister market in Houston. Don't dismiss markets that are open only one weekend out of the month. Some of those can be very lucrative. Canton is very good (very large) and I also did very well in Weatherford and Winnie.
